Samsung Exynos chip with AMD RDNA GPU slams Apple.

Samsung and AMD have been working together to bring major competition to the smartphone chips market. The Exynos 2100 pulls ahead of the Snapdragon 888 in CPU speeds but falls apart in GPU scores. During the Exynos 2100 unveiling, Samsung mentioned that they are partnering with AMD to produce GPUs for their Exynos chipsets.

The unnamed Exynos chipset smokes Apple A14 bionic in 3D graphics benchmark GFXBench. The new chip beats the A14 bionic which runs Apple's latest iPhone 12 models, in all the tests. It is likely that the next Samsung Flagship will come with the new chipset with AMD Radeon graphics.

What Apple should be worried about is that these are early test scores and there is still a big room for improvement. If the next Exynos chip with AMD graphics beats Apple, then Samsung would be at the top of mobile gaming. Samsung and AMD are working on optimising the chip to reduce power draw and increase efficiency and performance of the chip. The launch of the new chip is expected to be with the next Fold series samrtphone.
