What is Apple upto in 2021?

Apple is said to release a whole bunch of new tech in 2021 ranging from Apple silicon powered macs(and even pros) to iPad with mini LED displays and even something which could lead to a port less iPhone someday in the future. Here's a list of many of the new tech that Apple may launch in 2021 and some of the things that Apple might be working on to release in the distant future.

Macbook Pro

The latest M1 macbook air and macbook 13 are two very powerful machines in terms of CPU performance. Those laptops have the best battery in any laptop period, Apple is currently working on a 14 inch and 16 inch  macbook pro models for heavy users who need more computing power in terms of  CPU as well as GPU performance.

We don't know how they will implement this, they can either introduce a powerful integrated GPU or use discrete GPUs from other manufacturers in their machines. Apple is also working on a redesign with slim bezels and they may get rid of the touchbar. The touchbar is not something that most people use on their macs so Apple may kill it to bring the price down or to improve thermals in the machines.

The displays are also getting an upgrade, brighter panels with higher contrast ratios and possibly Apple may use Mini LED displays on the macbooks this year. Magsafe charging will be available in the next macbook pros and will allow charging at faster rates. The keyboards will have scissor switches and not the butterfly one that people hated and had many complaints with. But summing up, most of these upgrades are a return to what they were in the past like the magsafe charging, killing the touchbar and keyboards.

iMacs

Apples desktop computers have outdated design and run on Intel chips. The new iMacs will be running on Apple silicon with discrete GPUs or integrated ones and will have a design upgrade finally. They will have slimmer bezels and boxy sides like the pro display XDR does.

Mac pro

The Mac pro is a  powerhouse designed for professionals who want the best performance out of an Apple product. Last years Mac pro was a powerful and very expensive machine with Intel internals.

This year, Apple is rumored to release a smaller version of the Mac pro with Apple silicon for those who doesn't need the maximum performance available, but something that makes their workflow easier and faster and doesn't have a huge price tag.

Apple is also working on a high end Mac pro with Intel internals that has all the bells and whistles with the mammoth price tag. They may also drop a new display to go with the new smaller Mac pro and will be cheaper than the current pro display XDR which costs about $6000 with the stand.

iPhones

iPhone 13 is alleged to have an in display fingerprint scanner and maybe a high refresh rate display for the pro models. Many rumors are also floating around suggesting that the next iPhone will be port less.
This may become true as Apple have introduced magsafe into their new iPhones so more people would start to rely on wireless methods. A foldable iPhone is also under development. This may not happen next year or so, but they are trying to develop a foldable iPhone to give Samsung some competition in the foldable market.

Airtags will also be launched this year. There is also mention of a much faster iPad pro with mini LED display. iPads have been using LCD screens for a long time and it is a much needed upgrade. All these information is sourced from reliable tipsters, but the final product may vary
